On the court, dozens of referees and track staff were serving 8 athletes who participated in the two rounds of round-robin qualifying. The eight people participated in the competition as individuals, which was the first time that alpine skiing was allowed to participate in the competition as individuals in the National Winter Games.
In order to further achieve the goal of “driving 0.3 billion people to participate in ice and snow sports”, “fourteen winter” allows amateurs to participate in the competition as individuals. In the end, a total of 8 players from Hebei and Beijing participated in the competition, with 4 men and 4 women each. Among them, the oldest player is Zhang Qing, 39, from Beijing.
Because the total number of people did not reach the limit of allowing 8 men and 8 women to enter the real race, except Jia Qingpeng, who failed to finish the qualifier, the other seven players all got the chance to participate in the grand round.
Cai Fulong, the man with the best results, comes from Xuanhua No. 2 Middle School, Zhangjiakou city, Hebei province. He has practiced skiing for four years at the age of 17. After the game, Cai Fulong said that after watching the performance of other players at close range, the motivation to practice skiing in the future was more sufficient.
16-year-old Liu Chenrui also came from Xuanhua No. 2 Middle School, and she won the first place in the women’s group in the qualifying competition. Liu Chenrui introduced that six of the eight amateur players participating in the competition came from Xuanhua No. 2 Middle School, and it was a great honor to have so many staff to serve them specially. In the “14th Winter”, she got the opportunity to exchange technology and experience with the team members of Hebei province, which was very satisfying.
From 28th to 30th, the “14th Winter” Chifeng stadium will have three competitions: Alpine skiing slewing, slewing and group. The “fourteen winter” alpine skiing downhill, super slewing and all-around events will be held in Yanqing National Alpine skiing center in Beijing in January 2020.
